Wild/Sour Barrel-Aged Beer Seminar
Learn about and taste complex wild and sour barrel-aged beers from some of America's top brewers.
Portland Beer Week's annual barrel-aged beer seminar has been so popular we have split it in two for 2013. The Wild/Sour barrel-aged seminar focuses on beers fermented and soured with wild yeasts and bacteria. An expert panel of brewers will guide a discussion on techniques and processes of producing excellent sour and wild ales in barrels with the panel moderated by Breakside Brewery's Ben Edmunds. Throughout the seminar guests will be treated with samples of some of the finest and rarest sour/wild beers from all the panelists. Don't miss this opportunity to try incredible beers and learn something about the process all at once.
Special Guests: Jeffers Richardson (Firestone Walker Barrelworks), Chuck Porter (Logsdon Farmhouse Ales), Chad Yakobsen (Crooked Stave Brewing), Ben Edmunds (Breakside Brewery) and Peter Bouckaert (New Belgium)
