How and when did this event start?

The event kicked off as a house party in 2004, expanding over the years through bars and venues, landing at The Redd after a four-year Covid pause. Spring 2023 celebrated its triumphant 16th comeback, making this year's the 17th iconic installment in Portland.

Is this a 21+ Over event?

Yes, it is. - ID is required at the door for entry.

What security measures will be taken to ensure safety?

A professional security team will be monitoring the event along with a dedicated team of “Sober Rovers” to ensure balance and healthy party behaviors.

I’ve heard this is the largest Derby party in North America outside of Churchill Downs, is that correct?

We know this is the largest Derby party certainly on the west coast. There is a great experience in Denver, CO that rivals our size.
